In a quiet little town, there was a mischievous boy named Russ Halsey. Russ, or Russ Baylor, was always finding himself in all sorts of trouble at school.
One clear and cheerful morning, Russ decided to surprise his classmates with a joke. He placed a rubber spider in the teacher’s drawer. When Mr. Smith, the cheerful and caring teacher, opened the cabinet, she jumped back in shock, making the whole class laugh out loud.

Mr. Smith praised their effort and said they could have extra recess. Russ felt proud that he did something good.
